Dr Sophie Kyaw Win completed her medical degree in Myanmar in 2015 before continuing her general practice training in the United Kingdom. She has gained more than eight years of clinical experience through her work within the NHS, where she cared for people across different age groups and supported patients with a broad mix of short-term and ongoing health concerns.
At Smith Street Medical’s Kotara clinic, Dr Win brings a calm, respectful, and patient-centred approach to general practice. She believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s health needs, concerns, and long-term wellbeing goals so that care feels clear, supportive, and practical.
Dr Win also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology and has a strong interest in skin health, including the assessment and management of common dermatological concerns.
Outside of her work as a GP, Dr Win enjoys mindfulness meditation, art, DIY projects, and spending quality time with her young family.
At our Kotara clinic, Dr Win provides a broad range of general practice services, including support for skin concerns, mental health, women’s health, children’s health, preventive care, and chronic condition management.
Dr Win is available for appointments at our Charlestown GP clinic Tuesday – Friday.
