Yes. For medical help in the Hunter NSW outside our regular hours, you can contact GP Access After Hours at 1300 130 147.
If you're an existing patient, you can request repeat prescriptions or specialist referrals online through HotDoc. These requests are reviewed and approved by your doctor.
Yes, Smith Street Medical is a mixed billing practice. We bulk bill children under 12 and pension card holders, with a Medicare card on weekdays.
Bulk billing excludes procedures.
Standard consultation fees apply to all other patients.
No. Saturday appointments are privately billed for all patients and are available on a first-come, same-day basis.
Appointments cancelled within two hours, or with no notice will attract a DNA fee of $60.
Yes, you’re welcome to request your preferred GP when booking. You can check doctor availability through our online booking system or by calling the clinic.
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients. Simply book online or call your local clinic to schedule your first appointment.
Yes, we have parking available onsite and nearby for patient convenience.
